MICHELE TATTOO’S STORY: FROM DESIGN TO TATTOO ARTIST
ABOUT ME
My name is Michele, as know as Miguel Tattooer and I’m an Italian tattoo artist based in London at Nobody’s Business Tattoo, King’s Cross area. Born in 1984, I’ve always been passionate about art, and illustration. After graduating in graphic design from university, I explored various career paths, including a croupier at the Casino. However, I felt dissatisfied and longed for a job that allowed me to express my creativity fully.
DISCOVERING MY PASSION FOR TATTOOS
I was looking for a career that would fully satisfy me, and about 8 years ago, 2018, I had a lightbulb moment: tattooing was the perfect way to combine my love of art with my desire for a meaningful career. I began an intensive journey into tattooing, focused on mastering the discipline.
MY INSPIRATIONS:
My true passion lies in mixing multiple Ornamental, Japanese and Surrealism elements, joined by very thick and clearly visible BLACK LINES and red tone. I've always been drawn to things that are well-defined, clearly delineated, divided by bold lines and contours. Especially the thick ones I saw on works in churches. Bold, golden lines that defined ecclesiastical figures. Furthermore, I've always been fascinated by the surrealist movement, and as a true dreamer, I seek to explore the unconscious and transcend logical and rational reality through dreamlike and absurd images. The thrill lies in transferring them to the skin.
